The Entertainers

Asheboro's park concert series off to a great start!

Asheboro's "Seven Evenings in the Park" series started off with a bang Sunday night, as the gentle breeze of a perfect spring evening carried the rockin' tunes of the popular group, The Entertainers, throughout Bicentennial Park. Considered a beach music band, The Entertainer's playlist seemed to have something for everyone in attendance. The packed dance floor and full lawn were a pretty good indication that a diverse crowd of young and elder alike overwhelmingly approved.

According to the band's website, The Entertainers were founded In 1980 and scored their first regional smash hit with "Living For The Summer" that same year. This song helped propel the group to the forefront of beach music, which led to their playing the finest clubs along the grand strand of Myrtle Beach, corporate conventions, weddings and festivals from Washington, DC to Naples, Florida.
